Creating a memorial takes a few minutes, and you don't need to create an account first.
What you'll need
Just three things: the person's name, a photo you love of them (you can change it later), and your email address, so we can send you a sign-in link for managing the page.
Step by step
- Go to Start a memorial.
- Enter the person's name, and optionally their dates and a short introduction line — a sentence about who they were is plenty.
- Add a hero photo. This is the photo at the top of the page; pick one that feels like them.
- Enter your email address. We'll quietly create your host account and email you a sign-in link — no password to invent or remember.
- That's it. Your memorial is live, and you'll see its shareable link right away.
Sharing the page
Every memorial has a simple link you can text, email, or post, and a QR code you can print for cards at the gathering. Anyone with the link can read the page and add a memory — no account or app needed on their end.
Controlling who can see it
In your memorial's settings you can choose between public (anyone with the link can view) and unlisted (only people you share the link with will find it). Memorials never appear in search engines unless you explicitly turn indexing on.
Managing the page
Sign in any time with the link we email you, and you can edit the details, feature or hide memories, invite people and collect RSVPs, open the slideshow, and order the keepsake book. If you lose the sign-in email, use Sign in on the site and we'll send a fresh link.
