If someone shared a memorial link with you, adding your memory takes a couple of minutes. You don't need an account, and there's nothing to download.

Step by step

  1. Open the memorial link (or scan the QR code) and tap Add a memory.
  2. Enter your name, and optionally your relationship to the person — "college roommate," "neighbor for 30 years." It helps the family place each memory.
  3. Write your memory. It doesn't need to be polished. A single moment — the drive you took, the advice they gave, the thing they always said — is exactly right.
  4. Add photos if you have them. Photos the family has never seen are often the most treasured contributions.
  5. Submit. Your memory appears on the page for the family and other visitors to read.

About your email address

You may be asked for your email address. It's optional, and it is never shown publicly — it exists only so the family can thank you personally. You won't be added to any mailing list.

A few tips for writing a memory

Be specific: "He taught me to parallel park in a snowstorm" beats "He was a great guy." Funny is welcome — celebrations of life run on laughter as much as tears. And don't worry about length; two sentences with heart are worth more than two paragraphs of formality.

If you have trouble

If the memorial asks for an access code, it will be on the invitation you received — check the email or card the host shared. If a photo won't upload, try a smaller image or a different browser, and if it still won't go through, send it to the host directly so they can add it for you.
